After 34 years in the same house, I can finally say that I love the way my home looks. I have always played it safe when decorating; beige/white/cream walls with your basic standard furnishings and few accessories. I had little confidence in my own creative ability and was afraid to try something different. My sons used to say, “ what shade of beige are you going to paint the walls this time, Mom”? When I invited Benjie into my home, everything changed. She introduced me to color! She helped me select warm and exciting colors for my walls that coordinated beautifully with my existing furnishings. We even switched my living and dining room around and it works perfectly. With the addition of some desperately needed accessories, accent lighting, and re-arrangement of furniture, it has transformed our living space. Benjie was great to work with. Her concern was that the end result captured my vision of my home. It has certainly done that, beyond my expectations. It feels like “me” and even my sons and husband are happy with the transformation, which, believe me, is saying something! An added “perk” for me in working with Benjie and this process is that now I feel more confident in my own creative ability to add and make changes along the way.
